Maher Awartani joined APIC in 2022 as the Chief Strategy & Investment Officer. In addition to overseeing buy-side and sell-side investments and strategic transactions across the APIC Holding and its subsidiaries, Maher helped found APIC Capital, for which he is now the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining APIC, Maher spent 10+ years with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in New York and with Booz & Company in Dubai. His focus at BCG included strategy formulation, capital allocation, strategic transaction support, performance improvement, and value creation. Over the span of his career, Maher has partnered with leading private equity investors and sovereign wealth funds in defining and executing on their investment programs, which included supporting them through some of their largest transactions. 

Maher holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Economics from Hartwick College of New York and Georgetown University.
